These are some spots we loved while exploring the city. Some of the most amazing things to see are in very heavy tourist-ed areas. We highly recommend being patient and leaving those spots! Amelia: This is is an Instagrammer’s paradise. BUT it also has delicious brunch food, pastries and coffee. Do not come here on weekends as it gets much too packed.

Solar De Caramulo: This is a locals secret for lunch. It is the most casual place we went to ever and when you walk in you wonder where you are. No one speaks English but that’s ok! Order the Pork Alentejana and the beef cheeks and you’ll be set.

Mercado De Campo Orique: We don’t like timeout market. It is filled with too many tourists and truly overwhelming. This is the local version of timeout market. Come here, grab some food and maybe some produce and enjoy the afternoon.

Athalo Real: If you get a bit tiered of seafood and need some red meat in your life, head over to Athalo Real. A Meat restaurant with the meats presented like a butcher’s. They also have an outside patio in a garden.

La Trattoria: Believe it you will get tiered of seafood and meat if you stay here a long time. We found this amazing Italian place in what could be an office building! Pizzas and pastas all homemade and delicious!
