Best Places to Eat in Lisbon
These are some spots we loved while exploring the city. Some of the most amazing things to see are in very heavy tourist-ed areas. We highly recommend being patient and leaving those spots! Try one of the below instead and eat well as we believe these are some of the best places to eat in lisbon hands down!
Best Places to Eat In Lisbon: Lunch
Rio Maravillah: If you are visiting LX factory, go have lunch here! Great spot for lunch and a drink with a view and fresh food.
Cheri Paloma: A little mexican themed bistro with tasty food and cocktails.
Amelia: This is is an Instagrammer’s paradise. BUT it also has delicious brunch food, pastries and coffee. Do not come here on weekends as it gets much too packed.
Solar De Caramulo: This is a locals secret for lunch. It is the most casual place we went to ever and when you walk in you wonder where you are. No one speaks English but that’s ok! Order the Pork Alentejana and the beef cheeks and you’ll be set.
Mercado De Campo Orique: We don’t like timeout market. It is filled with too many tourists and truly overwhelming. This is the local version of timeout market. Come here, grab some food and maybe some produce and enjoy the afternoon.
Casa Dos Passarinhos: Another locals lunch secret. Once again no English whatsoever but they are so friendly! Just get the grilled meat. It’s always delicious!
Best Places to Eat In Lisbon: Dinner
A Trempe: A very local place. Wine jugs for 5 euros, and the food is delicious!! They have one English menu, which is filled with mistakes (we love that). They are known for their grilled fish here. They also have this bread and egg soup which we’d really recommend to share.
Athalo Real: If you get a bit tiered of seafood and need some red meat in your life, head over to Athalo Real. A Meat restaurant with the meats presented like a butcher’s. They also have an outside patio in a garden.
Cafe de Garagem: Some of the most beautiful views of the city. Come for sunset to order a glass of wine and some tapas. You won’t be disappointed
La Trattoria: Believe it you will get tiered of seafood and meat if you stay here a long time. We found this amazing Italian place in what could be an office building! Pizzas and pastas all homemade and delicious!
Senhor Uva: An adorable wine bar. We highly recommend you go for wine and tapas. Such a nice atmosphere and delicious.
Tapisco: Such a fabulous culinary experience. All the dishes were phenomenal (especially this paella!). If you are two try to get a seat at the chefs table.
Santa Pausa: A neighbourhood restaurant serving great dishes! You only hear Portuguese when you are here.
Ramiro: A relaxed and casual fresh seafood and beer spot in the city.
SanTelmo: A cozy very delicious spot for dinner and a bottle of wine in an otherwise quite touristy area
