Cork Travel Tips

Tips:

  • Language: English

  • Weather: It truly does rain a lot in Ireland so bring a rain jacket and good shoes.

  • Dress Code: It is very casual, no need to bring heels anywhere leave them at home.

  • Tipping:

    • Table service in restaurants: 10%%

    • Bar tender: no expected

    • Taxi: no tip expected, but round up to the nearest euro.

  • Electrical Outlet: Ireland uses a large “G” electrical outlet with three square “prongs. (not the same they use in Europe)

  • Driving: They drive on the left side of the road

  • Crossing the road: Just make sure you look to your right when crossing a ton of tourists get hit by cars because they don’t

  • Buses: If you are going to take the bus, they will not stop at the bus stop unless you put your hand out.
